“Vince Dooley: Beyond Football” is an in-depth look
at the man who led UGA to 201 wins, six Southeastern Conference championships,
and one national championship. But Vince Dooley is more than football:
much more. The documentary will introduce viewers to the Coach they
never knew—a coach who grew up as a high school athlete, dance contest
winner, and an altar boy to the Mobile archbishop. Viewers will come
to know more about those who shaped Dooley’s character—Nellie, his
mother; Ray Dicharry, his high school coach; and Archbishop Toolen
of Mobile, his friend and mentor.
Through interviews with family, friends, peers, and exclusive interviews
with Vince Dooley himself, viewers will discover a side of Coach Dooley
they never knew.
In production for nearly two years, “Vince Dooley: Beyond
Football” is being produced by Production Arts Film and Video
of Watkinsville, Georgia.
