Vince Dooley came to the University of Georgia as
head football coach in 1964 at the unprecedented age of 31 and is one
among a select few coaches nationwide who have spent their entire career
at one campus. Named UGA athletic director in 1979, Dooley was at the
helm during dramatic changes in both the university’s athletic program
and its physical campus facilities. “Vince Dooley: The Other Side
of Football” is an in-depth look at UGA’s most successful coach.
Containing interviews with Barbara Dooley, other family members,
childhood and family friends, former football players, UGA coaches
and faculty members, and exclusive interviews with Coach Dooley himself,
this long overdue documentary details the life of UGA’s “winningest
football coach.” In addition to the interviews, the 2-hour DVD will
include archival UGA football footage and photographs, photos from
Barbara Dooley’s scrapbooks, and photographs from archives in Alabama.
